r.i.s.e.

origin Story

R.I.S.E. started with a truth the construction industry has been forced to face head-on. We have made major strides in physical safety, but too many workplaces still feel unprepared when it comes to suicide risk, substance use, and overdose.

When a crisis hits, most people are not lacking compassion. They are lacking clarity. What do I say? What do I do? Who do I call? How do I help without making it worse?

R.I.S.E. exists to make the next step clear. We build confidence for individuals, provide structure for leaders, HR, and safety teams, and equip crews with a shared response approach that fits the reality of the field. We also work to reduce stigma, because people do not reach for help when they feel judged.

Recover. Inspire. Serve. Empower is not just a name. It is a commitment to build workplaces where support is clear, action is possible, and readiness becomes the standard.

Big Ideas,
Real Impact.

After a situation involving an employee and in collaboration with management, we determined that it was important to provide suicide prevention training for all team members. The goal was to ensure our team is equipped to recognize concerns and support one another when needed.

Initially, some team members were hesitant to participate. A few felt they had already experienced similar situations and were uncomfortable revisiting the topic, while others were unsure why the training was necessary.

As the training progressed, team members engaged with one another and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of this education. The session reinforced that it is okay to have open conversations about mental health, recognize warning signs, and know how to support someone who may be struggling.

By the end of the training, our team felt more informed, prepared, and confident in their ability to help. The experience strengthened our culture of support and empowered team members to look out for one another.
